Waiting on the Rain

Yea, though I drive through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4 (word changed)

God did not call us to pussyfoot around our sin. He called us to put it to death; starve it out! Our materialistic greed is costing lives here. We are so wrapped up in our lives that we don’t care what happens to the sick or the dying. I watch entire churches fall asleep at the wheel with a busload full of people who don’t know the love of Christ!

When people ask what we do for a living, the answer should always be, “I am an Ambassador for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ!” A Kingdom where we are guided by a perfect father’s sacrificial love for his children. God is willing that none should perish and we need to be willing that none should perish as well. Could the answer be that we are willing to watch the lost perish because we are afraid to lose our ‘life’? By that I mean all the security we build up just in case things don’t go as we plan them. Our employment is a means to accomplish what we are ‘alive’ for, testimony of Jesus.  There is a reason it is hard for the rich man to go to heaven. That is because he loves his wealth more than the millions of starving, hurting, hungry, sick, and dying people that God created! We can’t call Jesus our kind and refuse to do what He says! This is something that Christ said, “Greater love hath no man, than he that lay his life down for a friends.” This is something that has really convicted me as of late and hopefully it will inspire all of you.

Love,
Adrian
